In this presentation, I discuss some of the crucial underpinnings of zoopoetics, and then I highlight the zoopoetic dynamic in Cummings’ and Whitman’s work. At the end, I read from my forthcoming essay “Toward Zoopoetics: Rethinking Whitman’s ‘original energy’.”
